In the year Two-Thousand and One...

... Stanley Kubrick's Space Odyssey became, perhaps, the most historically inaccurate film of all-time. Regardless, and in the words of Marie Antoinette, I say, "Let them eat cake," because you can't make an omelet without breaking some eggs.

This URL, this website is going to be a quote-unquote blogspot where I will rant and rave, like a textbook lunatic, with the sole intention of futile conversation. More often than not my posts will relate to film - with an occasional slip-up, I'd imagine - but I'll do my best to stay the course.

For starters, what is your favorite film (or, for the indecisive, what are your favorite films) in cinematic history?

  1. I can't narrow the films I like down to ONE favorite.
Also, I feel I haven't seen all of the great films out there to narrow it down, either.

One of my favorites is a French film known in English as "Love me if you dare".
The woman from La Vie En Rose stars in it too.
It's just a good love story. And very interesting.

And my favorite movie of right now is Slumdog Millionaire.
Yeah, that was a GREAT movie.

  2. Marion Cotillard is the actress's name. She will be appearing in Michael Mann's Public Enemies this summer - supposedly July 1st. Mark your calenders.

I am yet to see Slumdog Millionaire. Though I have always been a fan of Danny Boyle's work, I cannot seem to get all that excited about this film.

  3. Barton FInk, Taxi Driver, Empire Strikes Back, Bring Me the Head of Alfredo Garcia, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Punch-Drunk Love and Reservoir Dogs are usually the films I say when people ask me that.

There's no coherent theme or anything, I just write about whatever I want to write about and if there's a three-month gap between posts then it's intentional, damn it.

  4. Of course, Burn. I would expect no accidents or coincidences.

  5. And I'm sure you'd accept no substitutes.
